Maybe God makes politicians say colossally stupid things so that they can’t get elected.

And now he’s saying his remarks are being used inappropriately against him. What he is widely quoted on stating was not taken out of context he said and supports what he believes. If Indiana sends him to DC we all lose.

His position has a certain logic. If you really do believe that “human life begins at conception”, then how can you justify abortion except when there is another life in danger — that is, the mother’s life. How do those who really do believe that “human life begins at conception” justify abortion after rape? I don’t agree with the premise — I don’t believe that “human life begins at conception” — but I’d like to hear from those who do. How do you make this exception? Is it just convenient because you know you’re out of line with mainstream thought, or do you have a real argument?

Is it legitimate rape if you are a guy and tied up? The body can protect itself, so no!

If my invisible friend is real, then once we die, we’ll find out what comments like this, and actions like the ones we take in God’s name, really mean to an infinite and omniscient being. If I’m wrong, we get a nice long dirt nap and won’t care at all.If that ends up being the case, all of this evil done in the name of a loving compassionate God/Allah will have been for nothing. So, we’re looking at eternal damnation because somebody’s religion is right, Eternal salvation because we did what our invisible friend wanted us to do and are blessed, ordirt nap… no wakey wakey, no eggs and bakey.Just sayin, and really trying to be respectful…C.

You’ll get no argument from me. I have no proof of anything, just faith. That faith tells me its nice to be nice. If science says a hurricane is coming, i’m going to get ready for a hurricane, but I will have faith that my prayers for my neighbors and my family will be heard and accept the outcomes as they occur.Wish that damn tree in my back yard wasn’t so tall. It’s also right over the power lines so no one will cut it back for me for less than 15k. Scary.thanks for the excellent reply, 1opinion, even if it does have math in it. /sucks at math.C.

@C DownsI recommend you call your local power company. They have a stake in making sure your tree doesn’t damage power lines. There’s a good chance they will take care of it for free.

It’s notable that 1. Mitt still supports this nut, but WORSE and 2. There are so MANY of these nuts in the Congress and calling themselves “TEA party”, or “conservatives”, or the biggest lie they try; “sane”!

Women, and the men who love them, should all band together and vote ALL THESE NUTS OUT!!

It seems so odd that Republicans/Fox “news” viewers would be so zealously anti-abortion, and yet also against birth control.-One might surmise that they actually prefer that those people have to endure unwanted pregnancies.

Awesome answer. Read it three times.Didn’t have a heart attack, but a person died and because he/she was a tissue donor, I was able to get a cornea transplant. As a spiritual person, its hard not to think of the person from whose cornea I now peer at my world. My paradigm included religion at a very early age and covered alot of the protestant faiths. Reading opened my mind to many more. There are an infinate set of possibilities between the choices I presented, I was going for extremes in order to be inclusive. While I still have things to do on the planet, its nice to be able to be kind of excited about what possibilities wait beyond the veil.Thank you again for the wonderful reply. If I ever find a better forum for these discussions, I’ll certainly let you know. :)C.

Why should the true “consciousness” be limited to this planet, or even this universe?

so, you say rape is god’s will. is everything god’s will then? you fail your math test…god’s will, instead of studying, you played cod every night for the last 2 weeks. it must be god’s will then that you said the things you said. instead of doing debate prep, you prayed, watched some football, and procrastinate…god’s will then.

Sooo. I don’t get it. Democrats say that resulting baby is not innocent? But perhaps evil? Democrats say God doesn’t have a plan for this baby’s life?

If the rape is a done deal, a finished act (although the pain certainly continues), why would a new act of violence (cutting the resulting baby to pieces and flushing it down a sink) be considered good, or fair or… even civilized?
