Unfortunately one cannot opt out of Corporatism. Most people don’t understand that the CofC is NOT the same as their local Chamber. The CofC has opposed EVERY progressive action to improve the pay and lives of workers.

The C of C and the Retail Merchants Association are shills for Big Business. As an independent optometrist, I have seen how they have advocated for corporate optometry (i.e. LensCrafters/Pearle/Sears Optical/BJ’s Optical/JCPenney Optical/Target Optical….all owned and operated by Luxottica) contact lens/eyeglasses bought online, and of course insurance companies (pimps). They tell me small busines is the backbone of the economy (heard that one before?), and then lobby to put us out of business. That is their right, and I am not bitter, but I recognize the truth for what it is.Not that it matters: check out the people complaining about jobs going to China with their arms full of bags from WalMart.

There is only one difference between communism and cpitalism/corporatism. In the former, the state controls all business; in the latter business controls the state. In both systems, the average person gets treated like crap. An American CEO is no different than a Soviet Premier – both want absolute power and don’t give a dam about anyone who doesn’t let them.
