Man, this one keeps bringing back memories of growing up “poor” in the eyes of all the rich kids I went to school with…

That was bad enough, but the bullying was worse. Does anyone on this site know what it’s like to be beaten up just for not being rich enough to buy an Xbox 360 or an iPod nano?

Maybe that trauma is why I decided never to wear shirts, shorts or sweaters. I hated identifying with the “tennis club” and “dinner dressing” styles they stood for.

And what I hated more than that was the fact that their parents bribed the teachers to look the other way.

People with money don’t deserve to be parents. They get so focused on making money and preserving fake “images” that they don’t give any time to their children. And as a result, these children start acting out and treat their parents as ATMs. Trust me, I know. I grew up among that lot and saw it first-hand. (Some even wear T-shirts proclaiming that their parents are just ATMs.)
