Ralph: That's reason #86 why TV was better when I was a kid! Norman: What are the other reasons, dad? Patrick: Don't get him started!

Wasn’t there an ’80’s song about 97 channels and nothing on? Seemed simpler back when we had 3 major networks and every Friday the stars would compete against each other in an obstacle course um hmm maybe that wasn’t better after all. . NEVER MIND!

The time on my cable box is about 45 seconds off. I always set the DVR for 2 minutes over to get the end of shows and preview of next episode.

Pink Floyd had “I’ve got 13 channels of s*** on the TV to choose from”. That was in the 70’s. Now we’ve got 13,000 channels of s*** to choose from.

There are very few shows that matter enough to go “over”. I used to do with Desperate Housewives because ends were so dramatic and went a little over; I saved them all to DVD. Nowadays most of my shows repeat episodes if I miss anything (ID channel, Bravo, Food and Cooking)
