Nate, what's going on here? Hm? Just... Uh... Y'know... Just doing math. See? That's a table football. It's an isosceles triangle. ...with "Crush the Jets" written on it?
OR Nate could insist, vis-a-vis yesterday’s strip, that he’s doing this to further instruct Artur on the subject of table football, the goal being to increase Artur’s enthusiasm (he’s a bright kid in school anyway) for “principals of math”…..one B.S. story is as good as another!! Haw! HAW!!

What, isosceles can’t have an opinion? Why do equilaterals have all of the fun?

A New Jersey Triangle? Much worse than the Bermuda variety.

I played this back in 1967 so I wonder when it was created? Anyone older than me know? I’m guessing in the 50’s at least.

I wonder when Mr. Peirce started this strip, if Mr. Staples name came from “Staples”, that office equipment store.

Nate is incorrect. I’ve made many a paper football and they form a RIGHT triangle.

Actually it means two-sides-same.
(Equilateral is extreme case of iscosceles — all three sides same)
