Well, Adam….now I see another reason I still have all the books I have purchased over the years. So when I am in a bookstore, I am not distracted by old titles.

This is why I’d have trouble working in a bookstore.

So many authors make it confusing by putting titles on their books that are not all that different from their other titles.

Koontz books’ titles are like that..(at least to me)…I sometimes can’t remember if I’ve read a particular one until i read the first couple pages… ..

Besides duplicate books, also duplicate Audiobooks every once in a while. I discovered books on tape years ago, and ended up never driving anywhere by myself without a listening to a book. Now books on CD, and I have so many I sometimes forget I already had one and gave it to my brother a few years ago. Good books and good movies - I’m content.

Well, maybe I’m just a bit odd then. In 40+ years, I have purchased only three books as repeats….And tow of those were deliberate, one for the different cover art (both were covers by favorites artists in the same year), and one to replace a copy I had worn out by multiple readings. REading is my major vice, (and anyone who tells you it can’t be a vice doesn’t know **)

it would be great for me to work in a book store, just to check on new titles and authors. i have also bought many books from used book stores or picked them up at garage sales when i finish them i ask family or friends if they want them, if not i donate them to local hospitals and nursing homes

When I was regularly going to used book stores I had a computerized list of my library specifically to avoid repeats.

UGH. So I have definitely not been a fan of new Adam, and this just made it a loooooot worse. I’m a teenage girl and even I realize that Twilight is crap.
