You know, if they really wanted to be fair and effective, they registrars would be the ones to issue FREE photo IDs.
They way the r/w are approaching this makes them Jim Crow Laws to disenfranchise voters that are more likely to vote for Democrats and for the President.
If a state wants to make picture ids necessary in order to prove one has the right to vote, they need to make these ids free and access to ids easy and convenient. States requiring people pay for ids while not accepting school ids or workplace ids, or other such valid id are guilty of impeding open and free voting-plain and simple, Jim Crow. Employers may also keep voters from the polls since election day isn’t a holiday so workers have no ‘right’ to be away from their jobs. It does happen more than it should.Respectfully,C..
What a lot of you don’t seem to understand is that excluding thousands of legitimate voters in order to prevent a handful of possible fraudulent votes (and efforts by the GOP have found ONLY a very small handful) is an appalling act. Besides the fact that disenfranchisement should enrage ANY true American, it violates the principle of innocent until proven guilty by excluding people without real cause. My man John Adams thought it was better that multiple guilty people go free than convict one innocent man — you appear to be willing to convict MANY innocents in order to get one guilty person.Think about it.

For dumb people it’s really hard to figure out how to get an ID.

Yet the liberal star witness against voter ID laws, Viviette Applewhite, somehow managed to get one.
