    the only science a women needs to know is how much heat does it take to cook a meat loaf. Or what portion of the water had to be soap so I can scrub the floor.

    then, on the other hand, EVERY single member of the republican party in the senate voted against the equal pay for women act last June , killing it and thereby allowing continued discrimination against women at the discretion of the employer.

    Actually, there have been studies which show women, on average, do not perform as well as men in math, science and engineering. That doesn’t mean individuals do not excel, but it is nonetheless a fair assessment and one which has held true in all the years that I have worked in the computer field.

    Men are less likely to get pregnant and take maternity leave.Plus, they don’t need a lactation room.

    Studies show that males work harder in various ways when there are attractive females around.

    “On average”- true, but there are still many women that are better in computer sci. than men. They should be paid the same as men, not based on some average!

    Also, women learn the same negative attitudes towards women that men learn- so have the same sexism. No surprise there.
