The thing is, if you have a mind that things of jokes and puns… you’re going to “make up” the same ones some other people have already done.
It’s not copying, or plagiarism… just that certain words are going to have the same associations to a lot of people…A Predator movie and a TV show called “To Catch a Predator.” How many people will make that connection? A lot, I bet.
I know I make up a lot of puns that have already been used…. often by ME, and I don’t remember.“Wood” sounds like “would” and “pie” like “pi” no matter how many times it’s been said. (Sorry to those who can’t stand rehashed puns…. but they happen!)
Meanwhile, Varnes…. though I joked about his daughter…I’d say neither is innocent.In this case it’s the Predator being caught….but the concerned Alien isn’t exactly a Boy Scout either.

Varnes…He’s not a predator… he’s an Alien.Predator hunted them…So he wants to see all predators trapped and imprisoned.
I am not sure why… in fact I’m a bit embarrassed that…I know this.
