In evey generation and society, there are some things we watch, read, and/or participate in just to be able to have converstion with those around us. Back in the small town I grew up in, my mother would watch soap operas, not because she enjoyed them, but to have something to talk to her friends about. For the bulk of my working life, it was to watch sports and hunt large animals to have common ground with my co-workers. Now things are changing to the watching Duck Dynasty and Sons of Guns to have a common point of conversation.

Boy, you hit that one right on the head. That money you spend on sports could help feed the hungry, find a cure for cancer. Besides that they wouldn’t have to shoot their girlfriends because the girls would not be trying to hold on so tight.
