Keep it up, Val, and you won’t have a boyfriend much longer. He wants to go out on a proper date, AWAY from the realities of off-spring, for the evening. She’s become so much a Mom, she doesn’t even remember who she was before children. That’s sad.

That went from a candlelit dinner to a couple of happy meals. :-\

There were two women I once worked with. One was the mom of a pre-school son, the other was single. Ms. Single often watched the pre-schooler for Ms. Mom, and her favored method was to put pre-schooler in the dog kennel for the duration. Pre-schooler didn’t mind. In fact, he liked it. Ms. Mom approved.

Like I said, Phil is not a father material. He only wants Val….he is struggling with the fact she has kids and is tight with her sister and her kids. Val comes with baggage…kids, a dead husband she still loves, a mom who lives with her, and a sister who is a next-door neighbor. Phil needs to stop and think – why is he seeing Val? When there are other women without the baggage? He might come to realize his feelings for Val goes beyond the “like” stage by now otherwise he’d have stopped seeing her a long time ago. Time for you to come to terms with Val’s baggage and be part of it or go.
