Bucky should start his own baseball team, call it the Bucksters, use a catnip mouse for a ball, and bat at it with his paws. Satch could be the pitcher. He’s big enough to go nine innings. The other teams would be made up of the neighborhood cats and dogs. The winning team would get a bowl of eternally refilling tuna burgers and beef burgers for the dogs. A League of Their Own!

Bucky…tell Rob that as a Red Sox fan, there are no highlights.

I’m with Bucky on this one. I love going to games, but watching it on TV, ugh.

Bucky won’t have to worry about any Red Sox highlights, just Yankees (seriously? giving up a two run homer in the bottom of the ninth? To the second batter in the inning?)

I swear, a basket ball game is only interesting near the end….I say give both teams 88 points, and then just play the final ten minutes…….

I think Bucky’s right on this one! Who was it who said that baseball is 15 minutes of action packed into two and a half hours?

Yes but at least in Basketball you have a time clock to hurry up and bounce, bounce , bounce and shoot. In Baseball all you see is a pitcher shaking his head yes or no and trying to throw someone at 1st out and back to yes then no and throw to first and then pitch and it’s called a ball……. that can take up to 20 minutes before you get some action. I agree with Bucky, just watch the highlights.

Being primarily a baseball fan, I thought that football was simplistic. UNTIL my son started playing it in high school (he went on to play 3rd div college ball). He started to explain all the strategy that went into just one play, but my head started to melt before he could finish.

Buckster is right…. highlights better than the looong lights of a basebal game in full. Hockey better. I just found out today that our team is staying home during the lockout. No Europe for them. And on Oct 17th most of the team will be doing a charity game out at UBC.

I remember my wife coming in the living room and saying. “Oh, good! Only five minutes on the clock.” And then wondering how the game could still be going 20 minutes later. (football)
