Marcus: I think the definition of racist has changed. It used to mean you hated a group of people. Now the term is applied to anyone who even mentions race. If you so much as breathe the word "Mexican" or "Jew" or "Black" you're automatically racist. So now we all tip-toe around in the dark, scared to say anything that might offend and the groups grow further and further apart. Anton: "... in the dark..."? What's that supposed to mean?

You are so on the mark. We really become nonracist only with people that we know, because once you know something- anything- relevant about someone, you stop seeing black, or brown and just start seeing Fred, who you occasionally remember is brown.
