Which is worse; a 40-year-old Yugo or a 40-year-old Pinto?

I made a Yugo joke about my 20 yr old nephew’s car the other day. He had no idea what I was talking about. I’m getting old…

A steady diet of beer and pizza will do a number on you.

How about a forty-year old Ford Maverick…with a rusty muffler?

My old Pinto was marvelous. You could see the road go by —through the holes in the floor and the doors.

the holes in the floor and doors vent the fumes when you are moving, just don’t get stuck in traffic.

Hugo: the only car who’s retale value was based on the amount of gas in the tank.

Saw a great two-panel cartoon more than 30 years ago. Two lawyers walking down a sidewalk, one carrying a briefcase with the Ford logo on it. 1: Lawyer says to Ford suit, “Hey, great job getting Ford off on those exploding Pintos!” 2. Slaps Ford suit on back; suit immediately explodes, to lawyer’s horror.

ummm … no one else notice a problem with this comic? The first Yugo wasn’t made until 1978 or only 34 years ago and they weren’t sold in the US until the early 80’s.
