How long ago was it that tracy helped diet keep his secret? i wonder how (or IF) tracy will reveal this information to junior… the knowledge that SOMEHOW SOMEONE could have gotten to moon valley AND BACK in under 3 hours is a bit… disconcerting… wouldnt you think?

Rules were made to be broken. Space Coupes were made to be stolen. Diet Smith’s eyebrows should have their own Screen Actors Guild card.

I don’t know how many years have passed in the Tracyverse, but if the space coupe existed in our universe, the patents would have expired by now. If they could go to the moon in two hours, how long would it take to get to Mars?

Mars? Diet Smith should have mounted an expedition to Alpha Centauri by now!

I use to have a model kit of the Space Coupe.

Aha! The Space Coupe is still operational! Several days ago, I wondered if Moon Maid’s companions were going after a Space Coupe. Now it looks like a real possibility. (And yes, I still have my Aurora Space Coupe model kit!)

It might have been mentioned before, but I suspect she might be a clone.

My Moon Maid avatar is from June 15, 1973, the last line of dialogue she had in Chester Gould’s Tracy. She only made three other appearances in Gould’s Tracy up until Gould’s retirement in Dec. 1977, all non-speaking. Maybe if Gould had found a use for her in those post moon years Max Collins would have been more reluctant to kill her off.

I would like to take the opportunity to wish Dick Tracy a Happy Birthday!!!

So Diet claims he can get to the Moon in an hour? That"s really flooring it at between 2 and 3 gs acceleration. Diet must be in better shape than he looks!+At 1 g (2gs at liftoff and tapering down quickly), it takes 7.2 hours to get to the Moon.)

I’m glad to have posters like all of you who remember Moon Maid and the Space Coupe! To think that this was almostforgotten if wasn’t for the new team of Joe Staton and Mike Curtis. This comic went from being a joke a few years ago to again becoming a big success! Good job, Joe & Mike!No… make that Superlative Job, Joe & Mike!

She does have mad skills with her hands, but unfortunately I have exclusive rights to her rubs. Sorry dude.

Just include the following line in your post, substituting the web address of your picture within the quotation marks (do not remove the quotation marks):img src=“http://www.yourpic.jpg”></imgYou will also need to bracket the line by adding the symbol < at the beginning and the symbol > at the end. I couldn’t include them here or else it would try to link to it.

I am truly enjoying this mystery and now the space coupe. Thanks to the Tracy creators for making it so fun.

Mike & Joe —Any chance you could manage to bring back Vera Alldid in the next story arc?

I’ve considered that possibility, but a clone ages at the same rate as its original host. And in Tracy years, only a few years have passed since Mysta’s death (Honeymoon’s only 12). So a clone of Mysta would be younger than Mysta’s daughter. That pretty much rules out the clone option.

If you are referring to the copyright term extension act of 1998 (aka the Mickey Mouse Protection Act) that was to protect copyright. A patent not the same, and patents do run out. Generally copyrights apply to works of art (music, comics, literature, etc.) while patents apply to inventions. Neither is the same as a trademark, which identifies a supplier of services or product.

I really like that scene, too. The hammer, the gloves, the thighs, the boots, the heels, the background markers, the rubble. Awesome.

Just because nobody’s been to the moon doesn’t rule out someone from the moon coming to earth….

And that makes it an even 100. This “Moon Maid” phenomenon is just attracting so many comments even when she isn’t in the strip.
