So many wrap themselves in the flag, then stand-by and say nothing while we screw over our troops.

We are more concerned with Lindsey Lohan and other train wreck people, than the people who matter, doing things of value. Tiger Woods “had it all” and screwed up, literally! Maybe 2010 will bring us a decade of less crass commercial reality television and stories.

NoFear – True but the Republicans got us here, and did an even worse job of providing for our troops – they cut the VA’s budget, let the VA Hospitals become over crowded and rat invested, never provide anything in the way of help for the familes, and never provided the material, equipement, and manpower our troops needed.

The Dems have started working on all of that, but, MY GOD, what a mess was left behind. But Bush sure did look good in that flight suit, and we didn’t have to face pictures reminding us that people were dying for us.

Ken Warren, your post is BS. No more needs to be said. Could things have been better? Yes. Are the Dems in charge? Yes. Is there any improvement? No.

I guess we should stop blaming Bush after all it been what, 8 - 10 - 12 years since he was President, it isn’t like he was President a year ago at this time.

Pup- Ken DOES HAVE IT RIGHT! BOTH GHW Bush AND “W” severely cut VA programs, and ORDERED VA people to make it extremely hard for disabled vets to get service. I saw this happening, and it was supported by statements of folks at VA. While there was a slight turnaround last year,(due to Dems in Congress) my son’s current experience in getting disability from the Navy and VA before he gets out is a HUGE change from the “bad Bush” years. The Obama administration IS doing things to help vets Bush never dreamed of, and yes, he IS the one that got our vets into the mess.

What I get from the some of these posts is that if you let someone use your house and they trash it, and you bring someone in to fix the damage and they aren’t doing it fast enough, what you should do is bring back the people who trashed it in the first place.

    Make Sense To Me.

If something has been “trashed” you wouldn’t know it by all the pork stimulus and political pay-offs. More Ken Warren BS.

Ken, if the people you bring in to fix it say quite loudly “Not enough damage has been done yet, lets do more, and do more damage faster”, then maybe you are right.
