    I’ve always been amused by the ban on smoking on Death Row in prisons. I know there’s a secondary smoke issue, but it seems a bit weird to ensure that people are in good health when they are executed.

    Same goes for giving the convicted person health care and preventing suicide: The state wants to execute (pun intended) its sentence on the prisoner, not let him or her die another way. A little barbaric, isn’t it?

    You can blame government cut backs for that. Cost too much to build it the full 13 steps.
