    We must forgive the people who see a chasm here. The comic has a perspective error: the highway is wider at the bottom of the cliff, when it should be roughly the same width depending on how vertical the wall of the cliff is.
    Unfortunately, the connected cracks at the bottom aren’t enough of a visual clue.
