I wonder who will get “king” of the prom ….. probably the school’s top athlete, as usual.

Okay so im a home schooled student, I find this comic to be highly offenceive. Have ever spoke with a home schooled student before or homeschooling parents. My parents are not freaks as you say they are. They just decided to take responsibility for there own kids education, we go to college like he rest of them and I play football for the highschool ALL my friends go to public school and they do not say demeaning things like you. so all i can say is you guys need to get your facts strait before you make comments like this or write a comic that is so insulting to us homeshoolers. Oh btw, I went to prom at a hight school with my gf.

Rowena28, ya know why Xtians are against pre-marital sex? It might lead to dancing.

I know it’s just a comic. But, it misrepresents home schoolers. By the comments too, home schoolers and home schooling is misunderstood. Many home schooled students go to proms. If they can’t (by law) attend at their neighborhood school, there are home schooling organizations that plan them each year.
I have been home schooling for over 17 years (not a lot of kids, just 3 spread out!) and have never met any others who didn’t date or dance. There are a very few conservative families, but most of the families I know of don’t do it for religious reasons.

No, home schooled students often attend college. Many are concurrently enrolled in college during high school, and many colleges actively recruit them. We know home schooling college is not possible!

Another untrue stereotype about home schoolers, that they are isolated and never get out of the house to meet their peers…

Thank you, L Nelson! I also home schooled two of my kids. I am “retired” now, and they are both doing very well.
