As an acrobat, I can get to the restroom with a beverage cart n the way as well, so long as the cart can support my weight…

Don’t worry, pretty soon the beverage carts will go the way of the in-flight meal (if they haven’t already on most carriers).

The drink cart needs to stay because during those flights people tend to dehydrate. That is why they offer drinks to begin with. The air tends to cause the need for hydration. However it may mean only water will be free and everything else will be a charge.
