As any soccer mom or dad knows, the sport has been steadily growing in popularity in recent years, especially among young people! Kids will love a comic about one of their favorite sports, and parents will relate to the comic’s ever-supportive band of carpooling, game-attending, ref-scoffing parents. Join this group of pals, parents and coaches in their favorite game: soccer!
Cleats also follows the gang’s adventures in other sports. Playing tennis, baseball, golf, gymnastics, skateboarding and more, the kids and their parents laugh their way through games and practices.

It only seems fitting that hot dog history intersects with the world of cartooning.
THOMAS ALOYSIUS “Tad” DORGAN (1877-1929).
Cartoonist. Born in San Francisco, CA on April 29, 1877. A childhood accident removed three fingers on his right hand and his hopes for becoming a boxer. For manual therapy, he took up line illustration which soon led him to becoming one of the most widely read, left-handed newspaper artists in the U.S.
Bill: What does the “W” on Grampa’s cap refer to?

Grampa Oliver (Oliver is the family’s last name), is a fan of the fictional minor league baseball team the “Wingnuts.”
