As any soccer mom or dad knows, the sport has been steadily growing in popularity in recent years, especially among young people! Kids will love a comic about one of their favorite sports, and parents will relate to the comic’s ever-supportive band of carpooling, game-attending, ref-scoffing parents. Join this group of pals, parents and coaches in their favorite game: soccer!
Cleats also follows the gang’s adventures in other sports. Playing tennis, baseball, golf, gymnastics, skateboarding and more, the kids and their parents laugh their way through games and practices.

Hmm. I wonder if Mondo (the kid in the black shirt) is always drawn left-handed… or maybe that’s just his hot-dog hand. It doesn’t matter, of course. I’m just hopelessly attracted to insignificant details. Carry on, Bill.

Actually, you have it backward. If he was left-handed, he would have his “Mitt” on his right hand. This set up would indicate that rest of the table-sitters are left-handed. That totally flips statistical logic. Sometimes a hot dog bun is just a hot dog bun.

I learned something new today, which is always worth sacrificing a little of my dignity. I was introduced to sabers a couple of days ago, and now (today) I find out something I did not know about mitts. I’m not a sports fan, but I know what I like. And I like this strip.
And, yes, you’re right: Sometimes a hot dog bun is just a hot dog bun.

….Or maybe he just wanted to use his “good” left hand to make sure he caught his hotdog….. (Food for thought…LOL)
