About Clear Blue Water
The phrase "clear blue water," explains author Karen Montague-Reyes, comes from the world of politics. It describes the ideological divide between two political parties. In the Torres house, clear blue water is the gulf of personal experience that Eve and Manny cross each day to make their lives work. Male and female, liberal and conservative, biracial and Hispanic, they approach everyday life from opposite shores and find common ground in their devotion to each other and their determination to raise their children well.

What is up with the birds in the background? I have noticed you do that often. Are you trying to convey when people are inside or outside?

I’m colorblind. I can see colors just fine. The only problem I have is that I can’t differenciate different shades. Like red and brown look alike. Blue and purple look alike. Yellow and some greens look alike. I don’t mean to criticize but what would have made more sense would have had your “son” keep asking him what color was everything. All through elementary school, thats what happened to me every time kids found out I was colorblind. But people who are colorblind do see colors just fine. Just in a different way.
