Yeah, got THAT right. Strange how the right wing has taken essentially the same approach to science as Soviet Russia: it must align with the political beliefs first and reality second. Lysenko would be proud.

It’s even worse. Russia made it into space on their own, despite the politics, but Virginia could drown and the GOP would try to legislate the water away by defining water as “condensed fog” or something…

Notice it’s a Republican that wants to fudge the truth to support its own agenda?
This is why the organization known as the Union of Concerned Scientists was created. They wanted to end what the Shrub was doing to government paid scientists.

Trust me a bachelor of general science doesn’t translate to being a scientist, unless 30000 new scientists appear every year (the present level of science bachelors attained per year) I looked at the various fields and found roughly 1000, signatures relevant to the field

    Biophysics (68)
    Aerospace Engineering (587)
    Statistics (112)
    Environmental Science (253)
    Geochemistry (63)
    Ecology (76)

Signatures do not in themselves present ANY proof whatsoever that man made global warming is not real. A scientific theory based on a body of evidence, factual, that can be peer reviewed and tested. Global warming is not discredited by a lazy pile of signatures. Let them present some PROOF.

Anthropogenic climate change was proven regionally, North Africa and Europe, in the 1950’s, much because of manipulating the land, not just CO2 or atmospheric gases. Globally, it’s been tracked, and proven, and our impacts are more than just “climate/weather” simplifications. The biosphere is being radically changed by our activities, not for the better, and never before seen as a result of “natural” process. Plastics, sewage, and “trash” weren’t being spewed around by dinosaurs, or Pleistocene “critters”.

I’m a HUGE fan of the UCS. Their series
“Fission Stories” (about near misses in
the nuclear industry) by David Lochbaum is the
best way to cut your hair. You read a story, your
hair stands on end, you use the machine, done…

Just drop a couple of nukes for global cooling and global warming will end.
