Hmm, just a thought, Herman Cain, the NBA and NFL, and other “exceptions” show that with the right connections, the image isn’t “quite” as divided as the ‘toon implies. Things aren’t “equal”, but that lower class glass only holds mud for many, of all “ethnicities”.

The one per cents glass should be twice as big as everyone elses.

It’s not the size of the glass that counts, it’s what’s in it…

What economic recovery? We’re still in a recession. Millions are still unemployed

Precisely. There’s been a lot of economic recovery, but it’s all among the 1%. None trickles down, and there’s no reason to think it ever will without the government getting involved in job creation and economic stimulus.

    There’s been no economic recovery.

Yes, we absolutely need to give more tax breaks to the Koch Brothers, Willard the ChickenHawk, Sheldon Adelson, and the Walton Family.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Perhaps you forgot about all those “shovel ready” jobs that the stimulus package passed in 2008 was supposed to create. Cost us $800,000,000,000 and still got nothing out of it.

The government does not create jobs – other than those to increase the bureaucracy of the government – a la the new IRS folks stuffed into the ACA.

It is not the government’s responsibility to create jobs. Amazing how many people think that it is the government’s job to wake them up, pour milk over their cereal, wipe their butt after a BM, and tuck them in at night.

Interesting that you only talk about conservatives or Republicans taking tax breaks…..Lots of rich liberals out there too ya know. But I guess it is acceptable for them to take those tax breaks.

The ‘rich liberals’ are not financing the Heritage Foundation and paying Grover Noquist’s salary.

RODNEY said " there’s no reason to think it ever will without the government getting involved in job creation and economic stimulus."

What in the world are you talking about? The Fed has been pumping $85 BILLION into the economy in “stimulus” EVERY MONTH since Obama’s been President.

I’m not the one who calls this “stimulus” Reuters is. Bernanke is:

Fed no less committed to stimulus after cut to QE: Bernanke

(A story on reducing the “stimulus” from $85 to $75 BILLION per month. Since you obviously don’t know about the original policy, I doubt you know about the revised policy.)

It is specifically this policy that is contributing to the “growing wage gap” that you— and Obama— rage about. And while I understand that Federal Reserve policy is supposed to be independent from the Federal Government, I don’t believe it for a minute. They work hand in glove. Obama is just so economically illiterate that he doesn’t realize that the policies he’s put in place have the unintended consequences of and are in direct opposition to the outcome he supposedly espouses.

^Absolutely! What we need are more tax breaks for the wealthy. That has always created lots and lots of jobs.
