Hmmm, GoComics was “crashing” for some time last night. My e-mail (because of my ISP?) crashes several times a month. The programmers definitely screwed this one up, but not remotely comparable to invading Iraq and Afghanistan, or Viet Nam, or Grenada, or Panama. Even the faults of the ACA pale be comparison. (and yes, it IS flawed, because too many efforts were made to “please” the right wing, and keep profits for big pharma and insurance companies up)

Exactly. A much simpler version would be Medicare for all, which as we know, requires no web site to decide what you qualify for. You’re 65? You’re covered. The irony is that Paul Ryan’s budget calls for turning Medicare into Obamacare. Means-testing (so you’d have to enter your financial information and have it enforced by the IRS), and applying for insurance from private companies competing at a government-run exchange. Funny how he never points that out…

I don’t know that much about Medicare, since I live in Canada, where we have a different system, but if people like it, then why not have it gradually cover younger people? If back in Clinton’s time you’d started adding a year younger every year, you would have a lot more people covered, and because the process would have been gradual, everyone could have adapted to it. It’s probably too late now.
