The Good Book says it ain’t so, and carbon dioxide is natural and necessary, and besides, what (I say) what do them smarty-pants egg-head scientists know, anyhow?

How do I cook pancakes on this damn thing?
    Will my eyebrows grow back?

    @Zuhlamon

The Good Book I have makes no mention of CO2 or charcoal, but certainly mentions the right to eat of the beasts and plants of the Earth.
    .
And as soon as we have finished off the last piece we all get gathered up in Heaven and food will no longer matter to our immortal selves.

Fox "news’ viewers don’t believe in evolution or climate change, but they do believe in Job Creators.
And Rush Limbaugh and Grover Norquist, of course.

Where did you hear THAT from? MSNBC? CNN? YOUR own news propaganda? You’re so transparent it’s not even funny.

When was the last time you heard a report on climate change on Fox News? There are 135 climate change deniers in congress, all Republicans. They need to either study the science or be driven out of positions of importance. A carbon tax to make damaging the planet less profitable would be the conservative solution.

I remember a while back, watching a news program do a man-on-the-street interview section, where the guy they were talking to said, in complete seriousness, “I don’t believe in global warming because God wouldn’t let us ruin the Earth”.
It’s depressing that what is obviously high satire to some of us is… well, gospel truth to others!

Hmmm…So the cartoon is saying Weber-Stephen barbecues are single-handedly responsible for global warming (aka climate change)? Seems somewhat libelous, Mr. Bennett.

Mostly, I read it on these boards, postings from so-called conservatives.
    -
Are you saying that Fox “news” viewers don’t believe that the solution to every economic problem is to give income tax cuts to the wealthy, i. e. Job Creators?

If only man had never harnessed the power of fire. I think the whole thing is Prometheus’s fault.

Mhic: Use a few Fritos for tinder (better than gasoline!) and you’ll never need more than one match!

Toon is great! BTW, my meter reader was just here, and our “new” house (for us) built in 1976 to use passive solar used less than half the electricity, even with some A/C in near 100 degree temps, use by our neighbor’s, with a smaller house, , and they are also only a couple. It’s called “conservation of energy”. We plan to upgrade insulation some more over orgiinal and install some underground piping for a heat pump system to increase efficiency further from the original design.

It’s called “walk the walk”, and yes anthropgenic climate change IS real and we CAN do practical things to decrease the amount of damage, even with increasing population, AND we can still maintain rational “lifestyle” and comfort! (Sshhh, don’t tell deniers conned by the “energy” read fossil fuel, industries!)

BTW, we’re now in an electric co-op, and our rate is only about a third per KWH of our former “user friendly” CORPORATE provider!! AND, the co-op uses “green” resources as well!

I use one or two sheets of loosely crumpled newspaper with a few drops of cheap cooking oil. The cooking oil keeps the paper going until the kindling or charcoal is well lit.
