    Did you know that Obamacare was conceived by the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation in 1987? It became one of the focal points of Newt Gingrich’s alternative to Hillarycare back in 1994. It was the foundation of Romneycare in Mass. It was a republican idea until Mr. Obama said that he thought it was a good idea too.Then suddenly, it was a bad idea.

    I only realized that now, but there never is a speech-bubble in Mr. Bennett’s cartoons. Kudos!

    Let’s replace Romneycare with something like single payer — the REAL preference of Obama, contrary to the nitwits who claim otherwise.

    This is the problem with dealing with the Republicans from day one.
    .
    Welfare reform: Democrats want to reform, the Republicans want to destroy. End result: nothing happens and the situation continues to deteriorate.
    .’
    Regulations: Democrats want to work on the regulations, Republicans want to abolish regulations. Net result is that nothing changes and the situation continues to deteriorate.
    .
    Social Security: Democrats want to work on reform, Republicans want to abolish see above…
    .
    The list goes on and on and it has since LBJ (at least)

    The PPACA is not based on the the Heritage Foundation’s conception. C/my long post on Steve Breen referencing a Friend of the Court brief to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. What you posted is what political agenda sites have been promoting. Not reality.

    It’s interesting to compare the ACA with Medicare Part D. Part D, the GOP program, was a huge, completely unpaid-for and inefficient system that gave vast sums of taxpayer money to private insurers and pharmaceutical companies and banned the government from negotiating discounts. But when it passed and became law, the Democrats worked to fix the parts that were broken and did the best they could. The ACA was a Republican idea, completely paid for, that saves tens of thousands of lives and a lot of money. But the GOP has voted to repeal it 37 times and chortles with glee every time it hits a bump. Will they cooperate to close a loophole that makes it impossible for churches to take part? Of course not! It’s a train wreck!

    How many rounds have the cons gotten into trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act? You’d think they’d figure it out by now that they’re gonna get knocked the f* out again!

    Wait until November when you renew your 2014 Health Care benefits and see that you will pay Double the premium, over what you paid in 2013, This is a 100% Increase over what you paid in 2013.

    NBC News reported this will happen in November and said it was the direct result of the passage of the ACA.

    NBC when on to state the reason why our rates are going up is there will be more people in the system which will mean more claims, with more claims to process, Insurance Companies will have to add more associates to process the claims in a timely manner to keep you from receiving dunning letters from your Doctor’s Office while you wait fro them to process your claim and pay the doctor.

    -
    That’s right, there were never any cost increases to health care before Obama.
    -
    Per Mitch McConnell, the United States health care system is the best in the world and needs no changes.

    But Obama and you said Health Care Cost would Decrease with the passage of The ACA, we now see this was a lie

    @ODon

    In April Brian Williams with NBC News reported that when we renew our Health Care Benefits in November 2013 for 2014 we will pay double what we paid in 2013.

    He said it was due to the passage of the ACA as there would be more peopled added to the system increasing Claims which translates to Ins Companies needing to hire more associates to process claims.

    Of course when you see you’re paying double in 2014 what you paid in 2013, you will blame Republicans albeit not one Republican Voted ‘Yes’ on the ACA Bill

    @mrs1wing

    Thank You for proving me Correct. It doubled because the ACA passed. This was not supposed to happen, your premiums were supposed to be cut in 1/2 not go up 100%
