Edward Gibbon would suggest we spare our assets for our own empire.

That’s because Tigger the sweety-honey pie wants it that way.

I suppose Tigger reads the occasional newspaper.

Anyone old enough to remember the bandido El Beejay knows it starts with CIA advisers. And Obama has said he’ll be sending them in.

I spoke to a Syrian, and he talks to his children in Syria. Most of the anti-government forces are criminals from Sunni states, offered a full amnesty if they’ll promise to go on jihad. When captured, they say they’re in Palestine fighting to kill all the Zionists and return Palestine to the Palestinians. And I’m sure arming these people heavily (as Saudi and Qatar are already doing) will lead to complete liberation, just as arming the Taliban has resulted in a peaceful, Democratic Afghanistan which has none of the corruption that is so common in other states in the region.

Sending in special CIA advisers also kept Vietnam from falling to the Communists, with the support of just half a million regular troops.

So it’s about time Obama sent in the CIA with weapons to support those freedom-loving anti-government forces. He’s waited far too long.

Once armed, I’m sure they’ll be freedom fighters, just like the Taliban were and are.

The Roman Empire was build on the profits of its wars. How are America’s wars profiting us? They’re not. They’re a swamp of red Ink reaching back to ‘Star Wars’ Reagan.

“The various modes of worship which prevailed in the Roman world were all considered by the people as equally true; by the philosopher as equally false; and by the magistrate as equally useful.”

No the two countries listed are correct. But then the USA has its claws in a hundred countries and not all of it is diplomatic.

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were major disasters in which many Americans (and many more Afghanis and Iraqis) died as a direct result of the stupidity of US policy; the US role in Libya and Egypt was modest and restrained and carefully considered. Only a person blinded by partisanship could think that US policy regarding Libya and Egypt was worse than US policy regarding Afghanistan and Iraq.

They suffered from an affliction similar to ours. http://now.msn.com/bible-beating-lands-norh-carolina-woman-in-jail. My concern is that if the woman goes to court, do they allow her access to her weapon of choice?=)
