Oh don’t be silly. Dividing America is purely a recent development that started during the 2008 presidential election. Just ask Fox News. During the entirety of the Bush administration we all held hands and sang Kumbaya 24/7

I don’t know how anyone can stand to watch either Fox or MSNBC. At least Fox has democrats on to argue with; some of the MSNBC programs they practically lick and groom each other they are so chummy. Both venues are just hate filled assaults on the American psyche. Even the financial channels are tainted. I used to like to watch Neil Cavuto on Fox Business because I liked him as a commentator when he worked for CNBC but he’s just a milder agenda driven format. Early in the day Bloomberg financial TV isn’t bad but they flip over to politics after the markets close. I guess I just stick with the Wall Street Journal and avoid the opinion page.

Ohoh, I predict that we’ll soon have our resident Faux News supporter, and shill, coming along to this thread and stridently demanding that Bennett “prove it”.

    @mickey1339

Republicans very rarely appear on MSNBC even though they are invited.

Newshounds motto is “We Watch FOX So You Don’t Have To”. The reporters have to do it in shifts because FOX News really is toxic on the psychic well-being.

Ima: What’s scary is WATCHING Faux News and realizing how ill-informed their fans are, and how dangerous that ignorance and dedication is.

He is, however, on the ‘Fox News Channel.’ and a great many viewers of this channel, I dare say, probably don’t notice the difference between opinion pieces and factual news programmes (which is rather blurred on Fox anyway).

Well said, doc, else their catch-phrase is that liberals are “taking away our freedoms”.
    .
And to Tigger, sites like CrooksAndLiars.com and FoxHounds monitor FOX News and report back on their subtle (and not-so-subtle) misinformation campaign. Hence the motto “We Watch FOX So You Don’t Have To”.
    .
Conservatives can’t change their minds because they are not open to alternative points of view, and cannot accept even the most basic of empirical evidence. FOX News feeds that ignorance.

Democrats rarely appear on Fox – they are cowards
    .
FOX News has token “liberals” appear, and they are scripted and paid to be punching bags. When a liberal (or any non-conservative) person makes a point of view, they are typically shouted down, have their mic cut, edited to distor context, or (if live) FOX immediately goes to commercial or some kind of “Breaking News”.
    .
Just the other night, O’Reilly told Alan Colmes (who is no longer paid by FOX News to just sit there and take it) to “shut up” when Colmes was pointing out some hypocracies in O’Reilly’s rant of using the Boston Marathon bombings to spew hate against (1) Muslims, (2) immigrants, (3) “the welfare chaos” and, of course, (4) the Obama administration and Massachusetts’ Democratic governor Deval Patrick.

Watching TV news is an instant IQ dropper. There’s really no need for it. If you absolutely must watch video, do it with the volume off.

Tigger: “ignorance” is a lack of knowledge on a subject. That can be cured by reading up on the subject, or in the case of Fox “News”, watching occasionally to see what they’re “presenting” (it can’t actually be called “reporting”).. Deliberately remaining ignorant, even of others “beliefs”, or sources of their opinions, is stupidity.

I’m with DrC; Ansonia isn’t Pup, not the same style. Ansonia has method. However, I do think Ansonia may be a sock-puppet of another.
