Oh don’t be silly. Dividing America is purely a recent development that started during the 2008 presidential election. Just ask Fox News. During the entirety of the Bush administration we all held hands and sang Kumbaya 24/7

I don’t know how anyone can stand to watch either Fox or MSNBC. At least Fox has democrats on to argue with; some of the MSNBC programs they practically lick and groom each other they are so chummy. Both venues are just hate filled assaults on the American psyche. Even the financial channels are tainted. I used to like to watch Neil Cavuto on Fox Business because I liked him as a commentator when he worked for CNBC but he’s just a milder agenda driven format. Early in the day Bloomberg financial TV isn’t bad but they flip over to politics after the markets close. I guess I just stick with the Wall Street Journal and avoid the opinion page.

Ohoh, I predict that we’ll soon have our resident Faux News supporter, and shill, coming along to this thread and stridently demanding that Bennett “prove it”.

Republicans very rarely appear on MSNBC even though they are invited.

Newshounds motto is “We Watch FOX So You Don’t Have To”. The reporters have to do it in shifts because FOX News really is toxic on the psychic well-being.

Dear Comrade Bennet: Hannity is a COMMENTATOR – not a news reporter. Pity you’re too ignorant to know the difference. Evidently you also are incapable of operating a TV remote’s channel changing function.

The intelligent thing to do with FOX NEWS is to hit The Mute button or change channels! Better yet just turn of the Boob Tube!

At least MSNBC has actual news and research and information to balance. As for Republicans, most of them refuse to come on.

Ima: What’s scary is WATCHING Faux News and realizing how ill-informed their fans are, and how dangerous that ignorance and dedication is.

He is, however, on the ‘Fox News Channel.’ and a great many viewers of this channel, I dare say, probably don’t notice the difference between opinion pieces and factual news programmes (which is rather blurred on Fox anyway).

Howdy professor! I’ve read about the Pugwash Society, which is all about that idea of critical thinking, and considering the whole picture. http://www.pugwash.org/ I think you might find it interesting. http://membercentral.aaas.org/blogs/aaas-serves/trials-teaching-social-ethics-sciences

Well said, doc, else their catch-phrase is that liberals are “taking away our freedoms”.
    .
And to Tigger, sites like CrooksAndLiars.com and FoxHounds monitor FOX News and report back on their subtle (and not-so-subtle) misinformation campaign. Hence the motto “We Watch FOX So You Don’t Have To”.
    .
Conservatives can’t change their minds because they are not open to alternative points of view, and cannot accept even the most basic of empirical evidence. FOX News feeds that ignorance.
