A nominated finalist for the Pulitzer 6 times since 1999, Chattanooga Times Free Press cartoonist Clay Bennett won the Prize in 2002. He has also earned just about every other editorial cartoon award there is, including the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, the John Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition, the Overseas Press Club's Thomas Nast Award, the National Headliner Award, the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award, the National Journalism Award from the Scripps Howard Foundation, and the National Cartoonists Society Division Award for Best Editorial Cartoons. Bennett was also named Editorial Cartoonist of the Year by Editor & Publisher magazine in 2001.

But, at the drop of a peanut (as in Bennett’s brain) any conservative president is a total doofus, an idiot, totally incapable of governing, etc., etc.

I think the point is that the Cabinet seems to be male-only. Perhaps I’m off base.
Conservatives have good ideas. Liberals have good ideas. There are good people who believe different things. Doesn’t mean one group is always right/wrong.

Jim Guess apparently has a mind polluted by Obama-hatred, and can’t get the reference in this cartoon. Obama has a lot of women in the White House, but is not nominating any women at the cabinet level at this point. It’s a perfectly pertinent criticism. It has nothing to do with calling Obama “manly.” (Though he’s a fine basketball player, so I don’t think anyone but the right-wing knee-jerk troll crowd would call him unmanly.)
