Obama could have called him out on the lies but did not.

I hope that’s the reason mittens is considered the winner of this debate. Alas, I don’t really think it is. Seems some in America love a bully being a bully. Watch out, don’t give mittens another pair of scissors to chop off hair of all middle class and poor.
So now mittens is backing down on his 47% of all Americans are moochers? Which is the lie? Us tax payers are moochers or not? More of the “he will say anything to garner another vote” problem.
America cannot afford 4 more years of the failed, and failed miserably, republican policies.

Isn’t that the point of a debate? Fail on o’s part.

What good would it do to call Romney out on his lies?
.
None! I see people here called out on their lies all of the time and it doesn’t change ANYTHING!
.
What harm come of calling out Romney on his lies?
.
Lots, not least of which being that Romney is then in control of the direction of the debate. if Romney is in control of the debate thn your time is spentfighting over a lie instead of getting your message out to the voters. The thing about lies is, you know when you’ve told one. there was a reason for telling it and that reason is usually not "so you can admit it was a lie next time it’s your turn to speak.

“Obama could have called him out on the lies but did not.”
.
I’m confused, are you saying that because Obama didn’t call Romney out on his lies then it’s OK that the lies were told?
.
Because that’s certainly not the way they taught me in Sunday School>

Clay has it absolutely correct. As MItt spoke to the cannon fodder at VMI today, he accused Obama of “leading from behind”. THIS from the guy who, while “W” fled to Alabama, HE fled to Paris to avoid ’Nam, after coming out as a chickenhawk!!
Mitt and his followers however haven’t really “KO’d” reality, but definitely suspended it as never before. The next two rounds better be won by the real world, and the election, or America will be in much deeper trouble than under “W”, and that is NOT a joke, or cartoon we want to see.

Don’t they call it shadow boxing when you fight an imaginary opponent with imaginary punches ? Shadow boxing doesn’t prepare you for a real fight in the real world. Two more rounds to go, Obama knows his game now.

I don’t know why they bother having these debates. You Americans don’t stop talking politics ever and have been discussing this election the day after Obama was sworn in. Is there anyone who learned something new or changed their mind one bit since this debate?

@iamthelorax
According to the polls, if you choose to believe them, they did.

No one has changed a thing. We’re just like the monkeys who gather on each on side of a river and scream from both sides, “Stay out, this is our territory!”

I find Obama’s behavior unexplainable unless:
1. Romney’s aggressive attack threw everything off. He monopolized the time and began the rude treatment of the moderator. Obama laid back to let Mitt dig a hole, but it backfired. I would have attacked back.
2. The game is fixed, this was supposed to be Romney’s win.
3. Obama is actually to dull to respond quickly to an unanticipated situation. Romney lied six times about Medicare, Obama never picked up on it.
.
Obama has the capability to be a firey orator but he didn’t use it. Better luck next time.
