Jeb Bush and Condoleeza Rice…Colin Powell and a person who’s name I forget…if I did a quick name search I could bring up some other Republicans I like enough to consider, but sadly, the current republican party would consider all of them as too far to the left, or what used to be called moderate, to give them a chance.
New For Fall!!! So You Think You Can Lead!! Moderators guide the discussion as Americans tell Americans how they would make this a better country. I nominate Jon Stewart as Moderator.

This one’s pretty funny, if you’re not a hard-right conservative. They’re understandably sore about the poisoning of their ticket.

‘Democrats tell us they want abortions to be legal, safe and rare. I guess you think one out of three isn’t bad.’

Wouldn’t access to birth control reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies?
    -
BTW, do you believe that Paul Ryan is a fiscal conservative?

For once, I agree with you.
However, if the numbers don’t change – we’re looking at a Presidential Runoff. (As of yesterday, the two are even in the polls.)

Jon would say he is a comedian, not an actor. Many of his guests are authors and politicos who respond to some very serious questions intermixed with humor. If you see him ONLY as an entertainer, you haven’t caught any of his appearances on CNN, Fresh Air, or even Bill O’Reilly. Will Rogers and Mark Twain were ‘entertainers’ but were also social commentators concerned about their country and its leaders.
    Respectfully,

Rice felt so ill used by the last President, that she lost all interest in politics.

    Powell is working for Obama.

    So you’re a liberal now?

If Obama were truly GWB3, his former Wall Street friends would not be abandoning him for Romney.

The Ry-mney plan is to double down on Bush’s tax cuts for speculators and shower money on military contractors, while shredding the social safety net. And, they still will be running huge deficits.
