this year, the high road is losing to the low road. Talking about facts is a losing proposition. Ranting, spewing bumper sticker slogans and outright lying is winning.

This election I’ve seen very few ‘high road’ ads. Actually, I can’t remember seeing any…..

Okay it’s almost trick or Treat time again. How about a little Halloween tea?

Lacking an eye of a Newt!

church, don’t have a Volvo, never have. Also I don’t put any bumper stickers on my car, ever. And you’re confusing campaign slogans with discussion on policies, governance. I’ve listened to many speeches, debates, talks from right-wing folks, tea party candidates and they never seem to get beyond espousing bumper sticker slogans and platitudes. And when they do, they get in trouble when their real positions are made public. Civil rights act shouldn’t apply to private businesses, constitution doesn’t say “separation of church and state,” U.N. is unconstitutional, Medicare and Social Security are unconstitutional. Minimum wage is unconstitutional. But mandating prayer is constitutional, regulating people’s private bedroom preferences is constitutional and mandating rape and incest victims be forced to bear a child is constitutional.

Hypocrisy in plain sight. They don’t want to abide by a strict interpretation of the Constitution, they want to abandon what they don’t like and reconstruct the constitution according to their beliefs, feeling quite free to impose their beliefs on the rest of us.
