You know what, Sarah Palin doesn’t interest most of us, we are just amused by how the Conservatives, and the Far Right think she is a great thing.

Since she is supported by the Far Right she will get a lot more then the 15 minutes of fame she deserves, but she will never be more then what she is, someone who is way out of her element, and doesn’t know it.

Typical liberal don’t know what she said but will criticizer her anyway. If you don’t listen to both sides please keep you opinion to yourself. Are you afraid to hear ideas? How do you know who controls who? You can criticize her ideas without knowing them? Both sides have good ideas but when people won’t listen how would they know???

good luck getting that idea to catch on biemmezeta. There are many (anything over 3 to me is many) who comment here that DO indeed listen to both sides. Alas, they seem to be overpowered at times by the rest.

Palin proves the amendment to the Peter Principle that says that if you enter the system above your level of competence there is no stopping you.

biemmezeta, you seem to be offering your opinion. So by your logic you have listened to both sides. What do they have to say?

What are the good ideas on both sides?

“Blazin B”– all the people on your list, whether you agree or disagree with their opinions and actions, are intelligent people. Sarah Palin is not well schooled nor well read. She doesn’t know how the world works and her “ah, gosh” personality and good looks won’t do her any good if she decides to run for president. Eventually, the populace - at least those of us who think and reason - will see through her lack of intelligence and run in the other direction. If she runs in 2012 and, heaven forbid, were to win, she’d be even less regarded by world leaders than GW Bush was (foreign dignitaries and foreign press were aghast that we elected him to a second term). There was a collective sigh of relief from the world press when Obama was elected; after 8 long years of buffoonism, we have a President who’s bright, articulate and thinks!

What bothers me most is not her ignorance – we’re all more or less ignorant – but what seems to be her pride in her ignorance.

No, Oldie, your dog is well aware of being a Palin on the dole in Alaska. That state IS the number ONE welfare state in the nation, thanks to rather unique, no totally unique, laws on the books when Alaska became a state, and the residents got all the money Russia DIDN’t when we bought the land.

Well I watched Palin’s appearances on Fox this week, thinking since she was in friendly company, she’d relax and reveal more of her reasoning as a paid “commentator.” But it didn’t happen. Her first appearance on O’Reilly seemed more like a campaign stump appearance with no substance and a lengthy plug for her book. Her next two appearances were marginally more informative, but barely (at least she didn’t plug her book so relentlessly). She never went beyond platitudes (this great nation, free enterprise this country was built on). She didn’t reveal her reasoning for anything she said.

As i’ve said before, I’d probably enjoy sitting down over a cup of coffee with her. Maybe I could ask enough follow-up questions to get her to speak beyond platitudes and bumper-sticker slogans.
