OK, so Sarah Palin made a big splash with the pit bull joke… over and over and over again. It was a joke that illustrated how tough, or how much of of fighter she was.
Now, as she is QUITTING her job as Governor because the political winds in Alaska have turned against her, Bennett is using the joke to illustrate that she’s not tough, or a fighter at all- she’s a quitter.
It seems like fair comment to me.
Bennett is not making fun of her family in this cartoon, so the Letterman comparison is lame. This cartoon is not, in any way, a personal attack, seeing that it is about her actions as a public figure.
