Bennett has certainly captured a truth with this toon.
I wonder if these guys realize how ridiculous they look to many people by castigating and demonizing an obviously qualified, intelligent woman who has more judicial experience than most SC nominees.
C’mon, this is what Presidents get to do, nominate people to the Supreme Court. Her record is exemplary and she has not shown any ideological bent.
did anybody hear the GOP spokeswoman this evening criticizing Obama for taking his wife to a Broadway play in New York this evening?
Is there NOTHING the GOP won’t try to turn into a “hate Obama” scandal? And this after Bush 43 took more vacations than any other President in history?

Well, look who the GOP is sending out to attack this lady – G. Gordon Liddy, FORMER Congressman Tom Tancredo.
Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.
But come on, BCS, give Bush a break. I mean, sure he wouldn’t interrupt any of his vacations for little things like Hurricanes, Tsunamis, or memos saying, ‘Osama determined to strike in US,’ But did any of those problems really matter? When it came down to the really important issues, like Terry Schiavo’s law, he was on his way back to DC with the throttle wide open.

Why didn’t The GOP Rasie a Stink when a Conservative President Appoitned her to The Federal Court System?
If Obama Appointed a White Female who Believed in everything the Conservatives believe in, they would find something wrong wothher.. Because a Liberal President Appointed her…
Yes, I know, The Stupid Liberals act the same way.
This is why we are in the soup we’re in today. The Liberals and Conservatives Refuse to work together for the Common Good of our once Great Nation

It’s one thing to discuss her judical philosophy and the decisions she has made. That’s legitimate. But to attack her character, criticize what she eats and how she pronounces her name? The republicans are making fools of themselves. They seem determined to alienate minorities in this country at a time when both parties need the support of minorities to win elections.

Naw, Mach…that would be almost as irrelevant and pointless as suggesting that addition.

Minority, Schminority, means nothing to me. Am a Mexican-American and could care less about being categorized as a minority. As an American I have the same opportunities as other regular Americans. All Americans are equal in this nation regardless of what nation they originally came from.
It is an embarrassment to be nominated for the Supreme court only on the basis of being a Minority/gender, whatever.
Anyway, whoever considered that Puertoricans were a minority. As I said in another post. Puerto Rico, US territory, gets the best of both worlds, Their own country and they get to own a large part of NYC, and keep their own, non-english language. They certainly could care less of Cesar Chavez, the “Martin Luther King” , hero, of the so called, Hispanic minorities here in Texas.

Bennett tells a great story with subtlety and total awesomeness wherever you fall on the fence.

You’re right, Serpaco. Because people who are followed around by security when they walk into a department store just because they are black have exactly the same opportunities as “other regular Americans”.
