Who is that guy?

My guess is that’s the good Uncle Sam that’s been locked away for these past eight years, finally given his freedom. But why is he wearing that strange hat?

Is the hat from Gitmo?

It appears to be an Islamic hat:

Probably refers to prisoner Uncle Sam breaking out of Gitmo since the hat has white stars on a blue band and the red stripe on the shirt reads 2001-2009.

Free from what…? Cognition? There appears to be a deep-seated need among some people to follow a man or men …I prefer to follow ideas . You can test ideas - they don’t lie.

NoFearPup says that ideas don’t lie. YES THEY DO! Just think of the idea of slavery for an example. Some people would say the idea of God is just such an illusion. What ideas do you think don’t lie? Remember that none of us knows everything.

I believe the prisoner (who’s number is 2001-2008) is Uncle Sam. To me, the character represents the country being imprisoned (perhaps a statement on civil liberties). As for the hat- well, I think that’s a prison hat. If you google prison outfit, or prison costume, you’ll see several examples in the same style. Here’s just one- http://pro.corbis.com/images/OCH078.jpg?size=572&uid=%7BB07C4B7D-BFA2-4895-9C53-7A2F8387FF36%7D
