    We just lost our 8th visitor to rogue waves and it’s only the beginning of March. Three have yet to be found. Do not question the power of the ocean and NEVER turn your back to it.

    This resembles a dream I used to have as a child in Honolulu. If you tried to run from the wave, the slope of the beach would become impossibly steep. Once I learned to dive into the base of the wave, the dreams went away.

    I made the mistake of turning my back on the ocean in Ixtapa and not only had my left arm dislocated, but was pantsed in the process.

    I still have the scar from my AC seperation repair. Tried to body surf the beach break at Waimea Bay, no fins, didn’t get up to speed and went up and over with the curl. I’m lucky I didn’t break my neck.
