What, no chops? Use your imagination Furgus. I see ribs, shoulders, racks, a plethora of possibilities. I’ll even cook them up for you.

Stel ol’ Bel, you (LOL) are soooo right about the number of days in January and the number of hours in a January day.
I will grant your request for a shooting, but it will have to be with my handy dandy super-soaker water cannon. have to shoot fast, though, with a 2 degree forecast for tomorrow, it would freeze before the first trigger tug.
Jeez! we’re STILL 2 weeks away from GROUNDHOG day.
as Claude would say when he loses his keys again:
ARRRRRGHHH!

re: yesterday’s comments…
BTW, yes. He, in fact, is the self-watering version. LOL
Fortunately, for me, great-aunts are exempted from diaper changing. My sister, the grandmother, is (unfortunately for her) still very much eligible and is called in as a “sub” quite frequently!
My job is to “oooh” and “aaah”…..and shop at various baby depts. for cute outfits and toys, which I do with great enthusism — anything to maintain my exemption status!!!

I just saw that the temps in Phoenix (where all of my relatives now reside) is in the eighties…..
and I know that somewhere , not all that far from here, people are strolling along a sandy beach on a beautiful day wearing the bare minimum and sipping cold drinks.
you guys are sure lucky. Please take a moment from the troubles in your life and give thanks, things could be even worse.
I don’t know why it’s bothering me so much this winter. I’ve lived through 65 of the damn things, you’d think I be used to it by now. Maybe that’s why my contemporaries flock to places like Florida and AZ…..
oh, well, spring will be that much sweeter to savor, right?

A breakfast of 2 eggs over easy, hash browns and a rare ribeye steak sounds perfect. This dang strip is constantly giving me hunger pangs.

Good morning kids. Hope everyone gets the day off today. It was a frigid 17 degrees this morning. Temps like this make me greatful for my nice warm home.
.
A sky full of tenderloin sure beats a sky full of mushy oatmeal.

Take heart, nighthawks ….things will improve. Why, just yesterday, it was in the low fifties here (northeast of where you are.
OK, so it’s only 22° now ……………we know it’s still possible for it to get better.
And, things could be worse: all the relatives could be on the way back and staying at your place….
