Either do “System Restore” like GROG and Shika recommended (that’s always worked for me when I’ve had similar issues)
    OR
Contact Gocomics. I say this because a few other members are complaining of similar problems, which makes me think that maybe all of you got a recent update of some sort that is not compatable with this site.
    OR
Last resort: Bring it to computer repair. Both times that my laptop had a virus, I paid $125 each time. Your problem doesn’t sound like a virus, so they would probably be able to pinpoint the problem for maybe a service charge. It would be worth checking out (and cheaper than a new laptop!). I am not that tech-savvy, so when it’s beyond my ability (which most things are on a computer), I believe in letting an expert figure it out.

    PLEASE DON’T LEAVE US, happyathome!!!!

Good morning! cleo , it you have a scanner, scan your pictures of Kaya right into your computer. I’ve taken really old family photos

    (my great grandparents, c.1860)

and scanned them into the computer. Then, open a free account at Photobucket and upload the photo there. If you’re interested in doing this, we can give you some more pointers (especially regarding privacy).
I hope so! I know I would love to see a picture of Kaya…and wasn’t Cleo your other dog, too?

I don’t use it often, StelBel, but the scanner I bought turned out to be a pretty good investment. I’m glad I bought it.

with the advent of photoshop, trust nothing!
next thing you know, someone will post an obviously doctored picture of Julie Andrews getting strafed by a Messerschmitt.
    The nerve of some people!

    I know! Geeez…..now the kitten’s deformed.
(Thanks for putting the Julie Andrews/Messerschmitt image in my head. Is that a variation of an earworm….a brainworm, maybe? Great, now I’ve got an image of worms squiggling around…yuck!)

Or perhaps you were referring to the photo of my “great grandparents”? Well, that’s really Julie Andrews and Hans Messerschmitt from the next street over, posing in one of those photo shops at the beach where you can wear vintage clothing and pretend you’re somebody else. Yeah, you got me!

    Same here, GROG!
I’ve put a lot of the old family photos through the scanner, and restored a lot that were in poor condition. We don’t have Photoshop, but use an old program by Roxio called Photosuite 4.0, which is great and does all that I need. We_had_ the 7.0 version a few years ago. It was one that professional photographers were using, and had a how-to manual several hundred pages long. Yikes! Too complicated for me! We deleted it, and ran back to 4.0. At some point, I know it will no longer be compatable with whatever Windows will turn into next, but it still works for me now. The photo above was in really rough shape, but after working on it a bit, it’s not half bad now.

Hi! Dry will be happy that you survived the trip to the DMV yesterday! That’s always an ordeal! Glad whatever you just did works. (didn’t really understand it, but as long as it works…)

Yes, I had thought of scanning a picture. I have moved since she passed and I have her ashes in an Indian spirit box, right here in my office. As for pictures, I would have to do some digging.
Yes, I had a Lab named Cleo. Years before either I got my first dog, a Scottie named Sir Winston.
