Every kid under 50 is looking at this wondering what it means, unless they were raised on war movies & series like I was. I’m not 50…yet.

I recently bought the complete series on DVD when Amazon had it on sale for $10. When I was a kid I used to watch it with my dad who was a WWII vet.

Oh man! Loved the desert. And yeah that was one of the ways to spend time with my dad watching those shows and the others, Rawhide, The Avengers, Hogan’s Heroes, Mission Impossible, Star Trek….

I can easily remember when the promo said: "Combat! In color. This was great. Got my first Color TV in ’68. Cost me over a grand at Sears. Would that be about $5K now? Maybe more.

In case you didn’t know, the early years with Vic Morrow and company, were in black in white.

I watched them fight WWII in Southern California.
Anyone notice the trees were not native to Europe?

In the meantime, The Old Sarge is back.

Gocomics screwed up my membership and I have lost all of my comments and collections and have had to reregister.

I can appreciate that it is free, however, the no help desk at Go Comics was useless. Again.

The old Sarge who whines a lot.

The complete “R.P.” series now is still just $21.68 at Amazon – however, the complete “Combat” series goes for a healthy $155.99 there. (These are the DVD collections.)
