30 seconds? You get the persistent ones. They always ring the bell when I’m in the bathroom.

I once had a DHL delivery left outside my back door, in the rain and they didn’t ring the bell.

Will someone please explain this to me?

I’ve had the USPS mail carrier and FedEx just ring the doorbell and leave. The package is dumped on the door step. UPS rings the bell and waits. These days, leaving a package on the door step can mean you won’t get it because if you’re not home to pick it up, someone else just might and you’ll never know a package got delivered and you end up calling whoever you ordered something from to find out what happened to it. You’re not only out the package but whatever you spent to buy the item in it.
