Fuzzy Thinking Alert: People have individual personalities. “Free Will” means God wants us to run our own life. He has given us an example and standards. We make choices. Some people try to control others and take away freedom. That is the reality.

Man’s evil is man’s choice, not God’s. And Jesus also did not explicitly address pedophilia, either, so by your reasoning that would be okay, too. The Catholics Church did not address its homosexual problem, and look what happened. Now they want the Scouts to take the same route. Please.

I was quoting a very common meme, actually. To be honest, I don’t believe in the Christian god, and assign no particular credibility to any of the Christian mythologies.
But this raises a point. Homosexuality isn’t evil, it just is; and more to the point, unlike pedophilia, it is something which involves consenting adults who have the absolute right to act sexually with whoever they want to, as long as the consent is mutual. It doesn’t hurt anyone. And the Catholic church did not have a “homosexual” problem, it had and has a pedophilia problem.
If you can’t tell the difference, that is part of your problem.
