Death and taxes are the only real things in this world. Now being taxed to death is becoming closer every day.

“Moral decay”, politics’s boogieman! Islamist fundamentalists oppose democracy for the same reason, it makes people think there are no “real” morals (that means, morals that are exactly theirs). Never heard that word said by someone without an agenda. It’s great to harness those old people scared of that scary, librul new World out there.

But crying wolf can’t work forever.

Yes, that certainly does look like the Republican Party. The six years they controlled Congress and White House they massively overspent, racked up so much debt they had to raise the debt ceiling six times, lowered taxes on the wealthiest few, installed partisan judges to the Supreme Court (one of whom they’re mad at because he’s not acting partisan enough), and showed their declining morals in scandal after scandal. After a Democratic President championed a package of health care reforms they previously championed (AKA Obamacare), they’ve spent undue time and money on efforts to repeal it.

Oh, I forgot about unemployment. Under a Republican President, the unemployment rate went from around 4% to 10%.

You may now refer to President Barack Obama as “The TWICE Chosen One”, unhappy one.

My morals include support for same-sex marriage and the right of a woman to control her body, including reproduction. You can disagree with me, but you can’t say I lack a moral position.

Lately when I see “moral decay” being mentioned by some pundits, it strikes me as more of a complaint that “nobody automatically accepts the words of old rich white men as edicts from God anymore”.
It’s funny how often we find our self-appointed moral arbiters far more guilty than they claim us to be. But we mustn’t question them, for that is sacrilege!

“Moral decay” is code for “Abortion”
    .
“Abortion” is code for “inner city blacks!” and particularly that your daughter is a fan of those rappers with their massive black penises!
    .
It has been the same since the forming of the nation. Look at the arguments against abolishing slavery in the 1770s.
    .
It was the same with Rock and Roll, it was the same with Rhythm and Blues, It was the same with Jazz, it was the same with Rag time… They all corrupted the “morals” of white girls.

Bipartisan stupidity led to the economic collapse of 2008 (Bloomberg/Shumer for example). A failure to impeach “W” before the House floor and reveal all the lies around "WMD"s and starting false wars, denied the public of knowledge well known . Yes, morality is under fire in America, and it is the “bluenoses” more concerned with one General’s private life, than Israel attacking, again Gaza, and looking for war with Syria, or waging “war”, on anyone who opposes “biblical view” thinking who are actually responsible for all the “immorality”. I’m sick of Jews and Christians blaming Muslims, and Muslims blaming those who HAVE been constantly attacking them since WW II, with NO effort from “the west” to stop those outrageous attacks.

INTERNAL wars in all these pseudo-moral “religions” are the continuing problem as well, literally thousands of “Christian” sects, division in Judaism and Islam, all defending the most radical in their midst when “push comes to shove”.

IF Americans continue to spread this disease of hate, anger, and “moral indignation”, whether applied to health care for all, financial safety, or NOT getting into more wars without viable or valid outcome, we don’t follow “morality” of any “bible religion”, nor do we accept prior morality of Buddhist, HIndu, Zorastrian, or any other “faith and guidance” on how humans SHOULD interact with each other, and survive.

It isn’t “Halloween”, it’s rule by idiotic “horror-weenies”.

A recent study found that the Fear Centre of the brain, the amygdala, is larger in Conservatives than in Liberals (Alleyne, 2012), hence the continuing fear demonstrated by conservatives of change, of the Other, of government, of God, of Liberals, and of pretty much everything else in life.
