    I believe the females of talban countries live in fear every moment of their lives.

    Not sure….the taliban guy is definately scarey, but the zombie looks enough like a ‘suit’ as to be a corporate lawyer, a lobbyist, or…most frightening of all, an ineffectual politician mindlessly following the bidding of party masters. Without bipartisanship, we haven’t a ghost of a chance. The blood suckers manipulating both parties will get their treats while the American people argue over who tricked us worse.
    Sadly,

    Do my eyes deceive me? Mr. Asay makes a valid point. I wasn’t expecting that when I woke up this morning……

    @I Play One On TV

    Valid but pointless. Is there anyone here who supports the Taliban? Is there anyone where who is not completely outraged by this shooting? In terms of information theory, this cartoon does nothing. I used to find Asay kind of interesting, though very wrong. Now I find him beside the point.

    Almost a great strip. He needed to add “Sharia Law” not this oh it is just this militants and Taliban, woooo, have the guts to get more to the heart of the problem.

    And would Asay have the guts to say “terrorism” or “radical Islam”
    and I think I see a small word bubble of the Zombie chanting “Hope, change, forward”

    This cartoon reinforces our solidarity, tells each of us that others feel the same. We all are outraged by this act.
    I do not know about information theory.

    Hmm, what about the 11 year old girl killed in a drive-by gang shooting in Los Angeles, or Chicago, or by a nut with a chip on his shoulder in a theater in Colorado?

    The “Taliban” are a small minority of the 1.5 BILLION Muslims in the world. Are Hispanic gangs a large percentage of Roman Catholics? Ever check out who’s getting beheaded next Friday in Saudi Arabia by those “sweethearts” of democracy? How many folks killed by violence in the U.S., oh, right, just 15,000+ HOMICIDES BY GUN, EVERY YEAR in the U.S., but well, those numbers ARE down!

    The Taliban, and radical nuts ALL suck! However, they certainly aren’t limited to one nation, or one religion, but they DO tend to all fall within the venue of “authoritarian intolerance”, largely touted by almost all (but not ALL-Society of Friends for example) “bible religions”, and societies where MEN are the “blessed leaders”.

    P.S. apparently zombies do NOT shoot people; because their fingers fall off if they try to pull a trigger??

    Well since ghosts, zombies and vampires are not real, the one with a real gun, with real bullets is the most frightening; in the short term or immediate future. The republicans over the long haul.
