    If somebody wants to terminate themselves, that’s their choice and business, not some busybodies business. Stay out of it.

    @Clark Kent

    Except committing suicide is illegal most anywhere in the USA. This stems from the king being unhappy one of his serfs committed suicide and it was considered destruction of the king’s property.

    I believe it was Greece where, years ago, attempted suicide was punishable by death. It stopped a lot of attempts.

    We have “death with dignity”, and it is rarely used, but is a matter of PERSONAL CHOICE! It is NOT an effort to give the state any authority to “terminate”, or force doctors, or patients to decide to “check out”. Besides, “doctor assisted suicide” happens all the time, it’s just called “natural death due to disease” in many cases. Turn up the drip to ease pain, which is extreme, and well, compromised systems do “shut down”.

    It’s pretty funny.

    Where is this scene set? It looks like the top of the Empire State Building (Generically)
    .
    Asay’s entitled to his opinion. This at least isn’t him creating a false situation and ascribing motives where they don’t exist.
    .
    Funny, scenic, satirical, ironic… Good one Mr. Asay.
