Happy 4th Chuck. I really did think the conservatives knew what this day was for.

Freedom from Social Conservatives who are trying to control our lives. But then every day should be a celebration of that.

The guy is obviously a liberal. No concept of ‘freedom’ as his goal is to take away everyone’s freedom via taxation.

According to our President, there is little exceptional about the US. What is the celebration but a stimulus plan?

That quote came from Thomas Jefferson himself. If he were here now, he would be leading the charge against the big government now have.

When Obama wins are conservatives going to try to destroy the country for another four years?

Chuck, this is the saddest cartoon I have ever seen almost anyone write & draw. You so miss the point. Not just liberal or conservative, but the entire point of the U.S. and probably life in general. I pity you today.

You forgot the rich part: only straight, RICH christian males (with or without slaves, as long as they are RICH) should be allowed to vote.

Personally I think that Chuck Asay got it spot on. On your own do some ‘Jay Walking’ Stop people on the street and show them a picture of a military man standing in the front of a boat while men are rowing the boat across an ice congested river. If they answer correctly, ask them what river is being crossed. (answer will be printed 5 July.)

That’s too easy – obviously, the Mississippi.

We do NOT celebrate the 4th of July any more than we celebrate the 3rd of June or the 5th of August. We celebrate Independence Day, the day we declared ourselves independent from the British monarchy. Our self determination isn’t of individuals or small, like minded groups. Our self determination is together as a nation. We succeed together, or we fail together. Thanks in part to today’s “party before nation” and “you’re with us or against us” mentality, we are in a decline. Some Americans blindly call us the greatest nation on Earth. Rome was once that. They were the most powerful and influential nation of their time. What happened to them? They outsourced their manufacturing, imported more than they exported, drained the coffers with their military and welfare for the masses unemployed due to outsourcing, and government divided by politics and power struggles. We are Rome 1,000 years later, and NOT in a good way. You can continue to blather on with cheap name calling, lies, and partisan bull shit, or you can pull your heads out of your asses and fix our broken nation.

"We must, indeed, all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately. — Benjamin Franklin, attributed
