Chuck Asay sifts the events of the day through his biblical worldview and tries to persuade readers to see things his way...that rights are given by a higher authority than the governments of men, that mankind is not the ultimate arbiter of truth and that our Constitutional Republic is worth protecting. Chuck believes ideas, not politicians rule the world. He tries to protect ideas which he thinks are good and attacks ideas he thinks bring harm.

Only one of the “three R’s” is an “R”, but too many Americans don’t know that. A startling number also don’t know how many moon’s planet Earth has. Of course with politics so important to people’s lives, 80% can’t name their member of the House of Representatives, or one of their two Senators.

Most people don’t even have kids anymore. Families with five or six kids used to be common. Now it’s rare to see a family with more than one child. Most modern couples get pets as surrogate children. They think they’ll be happier because they can kennel the dog and go on lavish vacations whenever they want. It’s no wonder that eduction for children is a low priority in today’s modern society.

The earth has one moon but the USA has many moons, the rich brats sticking their butts out of the limousine windows as they’re being driven to their prep schools.

That’s right. Most of America makes more money than you. Doesn’t that make you angry?

Or the poor kids going to Catholic school because the neighborhood schools suck.

Go ahead, cons:. DON’T send your kids to school. Classes are crowded as it is, and keeping your kids out will improve the job prospects for all college students.

when home school kids repeatably out score government schools. I have thought very hard about taking my children out. BUT I have said it many times here and elsewhere. The Parent IS the #1 educational tool in raising a child. You do not have the parents making sure the child reads, does the homework and show the child that they need to behave for a teacher, then you have nothing. And just like a computer, garbage in garbage out regardless of how much money is spent or any other factor. No parents in the child’s educational life, then government schools mean nothing but a baby sitting service!

Wow where do you live? Where I live everyone has at least 3 kids and always one on the way. I want to move to your childless town.

Departmentof Ethics and Relativity? Asay wants schools to teach the praises of God and Guns, his religion of course— everyone elses’s religious beliefs don’t count.
