Chuck Asay sifts the events of the day through his biblical worldview and tries to persuade readers to see things his way...that rights are given by a higher authority than the governments of men, that mankind is not the ultimate arbiter of truth and that our Constitutional Republic is worth protecting. Chuck believes ideas, not politicians rule the world. He tries to protect ideas which he thinks are good and attacks ideas he thinks bring harm.

I thought the GOP were all for taking money away from teachers, firemen, policemen and so on…

@MortyForTyrant
Actually, the basic idea is “if the various governments are needing to tighten their belts, the public-sector unions need to do the same.”

@MortyForTyrant
And liberals and democrats are all for taking money away from everyone who works for a living.

^ The various governments need to tighten their belt because the Republicans and Tea Party keep trying to cut taxes in a time of decreased tax revenue.

In Michigan it would be the GOP governor and legislature that considers a workers checkbook a natural resource.

And if the teacher were holding up a credit card, the others would be saying, “Ohhhh, let’s go use that fast and furious!”

and the liberal would be saying, “That’s too expensive, and we don’t have the money to cover it, put it away.”

Unless its the millitary, in which case they need MORE MONEY.

It’s not that complicated — if people don’t want services, they should vote in politicians who will make the cuts. If they do want services, they should be willing to pay without complaining.

She’s a teacher, that’s an EMPTY checkbook.

Well, one is a teacher…all they do is indoctrinate children in evil-ution, the false religion of science and other liberal garbage. She is obviously a marxist commie lib-dem.
The others are students still in school. They should get jobs and quit wasting the taxpayer’s hard-earned money.
But don’t worry, Romney has a plan to end the commie plot to indoctrinate our children.

Who says “A book of checks” when referring to a checkbook?
‘Honey, have you seen my book of checks?’
‘I think I saw your book of checks in the room of bed’

CA is beginning to sound like a broken record. Wait, omit the “beginning.”
